Jennifer Payne

CEO

“Michigander and Adopted Glaswegian.”

I was born and raised in Michigan, and you know the type: straight-A student, tomboy, Girl Scout, bookworm, card shark, active in Christian service and the local community. I fell in love and married Gareth, and moved across the big blue ocean to join him in Glasgow, Scotland in 2005. I have worked on national and international teams large and small for more than 20 years, and have gained wide-ranging experience in pretty much every aspect of marketing in every sector.

Nowadays, I thrive on growing our own small business and working as a freelancer. Gareth and I work as an equal team in raising our two young children while staying active in our faith - and we get back to Michigan to see our family there a lot, too!

I love that no two days are ever the same. This website is all about my approach to marketing, communications and social media, so let’s move on to the professional side of things!

Gareth Payne

Managing Director

“Keep your people sweet and you’ll achieve all your objectives.”

I used to say this on a daily basis, as I truly believe it. I have worked in customer service for more than 17 years, and over that time, operations changed but people remained.

Getting the best out of staff requires more than direct communication. It requires empathy for their situation, and I think it’s best to roll up your sleeves and do the job you’re asking of others.

My preferred style of work is to apply hard work and patience to a common goal.

Gareth Payne

Before being appointed as the Managing Director of J&G3 Ltd., Gareth worked for a global pizza company and previously studied engineering at university, during which time he worked as a Midshipman for the Royal Navy Unit at the Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde.

Demonstrating Scotland's Economic Potential in the World

We are happy to do our bit to help the Scottish economy to be more prosperous, more productive and more internationally competitive. We have embedded some best practices within J&G3 Ltd. from the outset, and we are working towards others as we grow.  We started up to work the way that we think all businesses should work - not to follow the status quo.

Fair Work

Fair Work Logo

As a company, J&G3 Ltd. is committed to the highest standard of Fair Work First in the delivery of all of our contracts. J&G3 Ltd. is officially accredited as a Living Wage employer by the Poverty Alliance. Fair Work First is the number one ethos in the delivery of all of our contracts, worldwide. J&G3 Ltd. fully supports workplace practices measured against the 5 Dimensions of Fair Work: effective voice, security, opportunity, fulfilment, and respect.

Living Wage Employer

Living Wage Employer LogoJ&G3 Ltd. is officially accredited as a Living Wage employer by the Poverty Alliance. All internal and external procedures and requirements are regularly reviewed and best practice is actioned in line with accreditation.  For example, as an accredited Living Wage employer, J&G3 Ltd. aims to pay 100% of supply chain contractors/invoices within 30 days as standard, but often surpasses this target and pays within 2-3 days of receipt of invoices - to ensure all aspects of Prompt Payment are prioritised and delivered.

Let's Do Net Zero!

The NetZeroToolkit Logo J&G3 Ltd. engages with The NetZeroToolkit from Edinburgh Science to address eight core components of operations: we have set goals, we actively measure monthly, actively work to strategically eliminate CO2 emissions, and track progress as a micro business, with an ultimate goal of reaching Net Zero by 2040.

Cyber Essentials Certification

J&G3 Ltd. also takes a proactive stance against malicious cyber attacks, and is proudly Cyber Essentials certified. Certification gives our customers - especially our customers in the public sector - peace of mind that our company is protected against the vast majority of common cyber attacks, simply because these attacks are looking for targets which do not have the Cyber Essentials technical controls in place. Cyber Essentials certification proves that we know how to address those basics and prevent the most common attacks.
